It has drooping branches, lanceolate, velvety, dark-green leaves, with conspicuous veins and large, showy purple flowers. Tibouchina semidecandra is an ideal ornamental for climates without extremes of cold or heat in USDA Zones 10 and 11 and flowers nearly throughout the entire year.
