The first preview was created with an overlay over my canvas background, and a gradient fill layer set to overlay over the top. This provides a realistic blend of water color.

6 12x12" Watercolor Arsenal Overlays (.PNG) 300ppi Tip: To achieve the look in first preview, simply open your chosen overlay in Photoshop & create a new layer above. Flood fill the new layer with a gradient using gradient tool & change the blend mode on the new gradient filled layer to overlay. You can if you prefer use a single colour fill rather than a gradient. Experiment with different blend modes for different effects.
