Where did it all start for Dekogon Studios?

Everyone at Dekogon is an artist and started as such. We pride ourselves on being a community of artists run by artists. This allows us all to have a share in the work we are making and be in the know as to what is needed for every project we work on. When we first started it was only a few artists that had amazing skills coming together to work on small contracts and we have since grown in number to now accommodate for multiple projects at once in much larger artist teams!

How did you start building your experience?

Working with many different clients on multiple projects has helped to push our skill levels and understanding of different media into a whole new realm than when we first started. We have now worked with all sorts of companies, groups and projects, such as VR, Marketing, AAA games, Mobile games, Broadcast design, and others! Getting the chance to work with so many groups has really pushed our skills beyond what we thought possible and allowed us to enjoy so many projects in the past few years!

To what do you attribute your success?

The strength of our collective talents! Dekogon is made up of so many talented artists under one company that it's hard to talk about just 1 artist that makes us great. We truly feel we are only as successful because of the culmination of talents between all of us!

What made you choose Cubebrush as your platform to create a store?

I really love how clean and simple the interface and UI is with Cubebrush. All interactions Dekogon has had with the staff and team have been excellent and it's always clear how well our sales and content are doing.

Also, being among many other talented artist sellers makes for a great user experience and draws buyers to see all the wares that are available on the Cubebrush stores!

What’s your favorite feature on the site?

The UI is by far our favorite! Uploading content and using the interface is super simple and clear to understand. Also being able to load multiple images, description of listings, video, and all the other content needed for a listing at the same time is a dream.

Any products on your personal wishlist?

We always love all the cool tech projects that are featured and listed for unreal. Learning new tricks in Unreal is always fun and having the resources from other talented artists and groups is always nice!

Any upcoming content pack projects you can talk about?

Yes we have quite a few, we have a giant Medieval set just around the corner. There will be 11 new asset packs of some really nice high end medieval props ranging from jousting, sword fighting, furniture, and more! Beyond that a few fun full environments we have been working on behind the scenes! More info on this in the coming months!

Where do you want to be 5 years from now?

Continue to push our skillset and grow our collective ability. We are always striving to take on interesting projects and growing our ranks with top tier talent to work with new clients! We like that we are a smaller studio so we can be more refined and keep our quality level high but pushing to be better artists is always a goal we all have in mind.

What skills would you say your team is most proficient at?

We vary in talent and skills that each artist has but in general environment art has been and will continue to be our main focus. Creating scenes that tell a story or narrative and world building is something we all love to do. Being able to help clients convey their message or narrative through art can sometimes be a challenging task but it's a task we find that we really excel at.

Any advice for ambitious artists out there?

Yes of course! Always continue to push your skill and ability. Question your own portfolio constantly. Ask yourself, would you hire you? Always strive to push yourself outside of your comfort zone so you can continue to learn and grow! Being an artist makes you a student and learner for life.

What is your favorite asset offered at your Cubebrush store?

We just recently released 2 scenes based on a high school setting. Our high school gym and classroom. Both were super fun to work on and is a culmination of so many great artists' work. Check those out and more on our store here
